Departure approximately at 8:00 am - Return at 1:30 pm
Castelbuono is a small medieval village located within the Madonie Park.
The historic center is graceful and well preserved, welcoming the visitor who will feel enveloped in a slow, pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Here, it is as if time has stopped and sometimes this sensation becomes reality on the occasion of religious holidays and historical events. During our excursion, we will visit the typical market, the Castle of Ventimiglia, which today houses the civic museum with sections of archaeology, urban planning, sacred, modern and contemporary art and the natural museum of Francesco Minà Palumbo, which collects botanical species, reptiles and insects from the Madonie. However, what most characterizes Castelbuono is the very famous manna, produced by local ash trees: this sap is used as a sweetener, purifier, but also in medicine and cosmetics.
Our excursion will obviously stop at the very famous Pasticceria Fiasconaro, where you will taste local artisan pastries and sweets.
The price includes: travel by minibus/GT bus with driver/tour guide/pasticceria Fiasconaro tasting.
Not included: entrance to Ventimiglia Castle.
